What started many years ago as the Southern Grand Banks Owners Association, SGBOA, has now grown into the Marlow Marine Southern Cruising Club, encompassing all the fine yachts that we are associated with.

Our Owners Association is a large group of boat owners and would-be owners from ALL OVER THE WORLD who share and enjoy a unique camaraderie and mutual love-affair with their yachts and other owners. The members enjoy a quarterly newsletter full of the latest news for their respective yachts, Marlow Marine happenings, and many regular columns dealing with safety, photography, cuisine on board, helpful hints, answers to your specific questions and many timely features. As an active member in good standing, you will receive a beautifully made, double sewn Club Burgee and the tri-yearly newsletter.  You will also receive a membership card which will entitle you to various discounts with marinas, including fuel and dockage, rental car discounts, preferred insurance rates and priority shipping and pricing on parts.  you are also invited to attend our annual rendezvous at a reduced rate.

We are constantly enhancing our benefits for active members so that a single usage will in all likelihood pay for several years' membership.  Our team is securing fuel discounts, reduced or free dockage after a minimum stay (two days), privileges at exclusive clubs that are closed to non members and many other perquisities that will be added to the agenda.  As an example, we recently secured a 1-2 night guest card allowing our members to stay at a private island resort in southwest Florida at their advertised member rate.  This island is reserved and is exclusive for their island members only, but they are offering this to our active club members at member rates, which is quite reasonable. 

We love our style of yachting and we know you do too. Anything we can do to make using your boat more enjoyable for you is something we want to do. Many members form new and lasting relationships at our gatherings and correspond throughout the year.  Many travel together to various ports feeling good having each other to socialize with and rely upon if necessary. If you are not a member, consider joining this club, not only for the social benefits, but also for the variety of benefits listed below.
