November 2007 * Sea Magazine- Marlow Explorer 70E-CB Featured Cover

The technical aspects of hull design and the environmentally friendly construction characteristics of significant milestones in the entire Marlow line, but for many potential buyers, looks matters more.  The 70E Command Bridge is an attractive vessel, whether on its moorings, under way or at rest.  Well laid out, attractively finished and loaded with equipment, the Marlow 70E-CB lives up to, and in many areas exceeds, the expectations of what an oceangoing yacht can achieve.

June 2007 * SEA Magazine- Marlow Explorer 82 CMY Featured Review

" Asking price for the Marlow Explorer as tested is a lot of money by any standard, we are honestly impressed with how much you get for the price.  Marlow sweated every detail of the 82, and the effort shows.  more than once the owner referred to the boat as his "big little ship".  After spendingtime on the 82 we get it - inside and out she seems even bigger than she really is."

February 2007 • Power & Motoryacht • Marlow Explorer 82 CMY Cover Exclusive by Bill Pike

Visibility on the new Marlow 82 Cockpit Motor Yacht on the command bridge was excellent thanks to the large windows and windshield panels encompassing the hem.  The Hynautic hydraulic steering system was unusually responsive thanks in part to a proprietary effort-multiplying device that accelerates rudder response when the wheel is rapidly turned.  Dockside maneuvering also seemed solid.  Besides excellent visibility, I found that manipulating our precisely detented Morse electronic engine controls produced prompt results, engaging the transmissions with little or no lag time and plenty of maneuvering oomph. In fact, backing down on a giant lakeside boathouse flanked by wharves and sailboats alongside went so smoothly, I simply skipped the two 48-volt, 20-hp Side=Power thrusters, one at the bow the other at the stern.  Not necessary.  Not only does the Marlow Explorer 82 Cockpit Motor Yacht lend herself to lovely fish-fighting fantasies featuring far-our, faraway places, but she’s designed and built to comfortably and reliably get you there."  READ THE WHOLE STORY-CLICK HERE

February 2007 • Southern Boating • Marlow Explorer 70E-LR Cover Story  by Bill Lindsey

“We’ve all heard about builders who will, to varying degrees, accommodate the wishes and preferences of owners in the creation of a new yacht, but few of these end up without compromises.  As I wound up my tour of the Marlow Explorer 72E-LR, “Rebel Yell”, I noted a brass plaque on the entrance to the spacious engine room and toy storage area.  I noted it was for Ocean Class A approval, issued by Lloyds Germanscher.  It is the highest category of approval available for that sector.  I can’t imagine it being any other way on board this latest offering from Marlow.”

August 2006 • Yachting •  Cover Exclusive by Jay Coyle • Marlow's Masterpiece Explorer 72E-LR • "Smooth as satin, strong as steel, the new Marlow Explorer 72E-LR is an expression of her builder's perfectionism. Most folks who love yachts and yachting have at one time or another dreamed of designing and building a perfect yacht of their own.  While some who have attempted this feat must have found satisfaction, I'd bet few did it without compromise.  That's why when I heard David Marlow had thrown his hat into the ring, I knew a trip to his Snead, Island, FL, base was a must. Few, if any, have the patina Marlow has earned in his lifetime on the water.  And while perfection might be an impossible goal, I knew Marlow would come damn close with his personal boat, REBEL YELL, the latest addition to the Marlow Explorer Series launched in 2000.  If you have a perfect yacht on your mind and it's shaped something like REBEL YELL, Marlow is ready to share.  The Explorer Series 72E-LR is now in production."

April  2006   Southern Boating    Who's that lady on the cover?  Prowler, that's who!  The Prowler Open 375 is featured in the Southern Boating Swimsuit Edition and she's hot!  “Marlow Explorer yacht owners are a special breed. They're used to state-of-the-art hull construction, exotic woods and very personalized interiors. So when it comes time to acquire a day cruiser, these people aren't readily satisfied with standard production boats. The dilemma of "what to do when one doesn't want to take a 78'Explorer out for a day of cruising local waters" has been answered in the form of the Marlow Prowler Yachts, a brand new series of express cruisers. More than just a mini-Explorer, it combines the elegance of a classic picnic yacht with state-of-the-art design and handling.” Bill Lindsey, Editor In Chief

May 2006 • SEA • Marlow Explorer 57E Command Bridge by Walt Jennings • She was secured to a dock in small protected harbor, and I found her to be awe-inspiring as she sat there, awaiting a command - the Marlow Explorer 57E Command Bridge. I'm kind of a mechanical "trekkie" and when I entered the engine room I wasn't just impressed, I was extremely impressed, because everywhere I looked I saw things I liked - items that are options on most boats are standard on Marlow Explorer. I could write a separate article about what I found in 57's engine room.  ...if you are looking for a functional, livable, homey feeling in a state-of-the-art luxury yacht, built to standards most people have never seen, you owe it to yourself to look at these - not just boats, but works of art that David Marlow is building.
