ASHDOO 2005 Marlow Explorer 78E |
Ashdoo
was delivered to Italy in 2005. She was built to CE standards and
has cruised the Mediterranean isles from Greece to Napoli with
forays into the Aegean Sea and around the boot of Italy.
She was built with 50 cycle power and has a Besenzoni Passerelle for
easy access in the stern for docking in Europe. Many of her
components are designed to operate at 50 cycle and fully wired for
easy conversion to 60 cycle. The addition of a frequency converter
would allow world cruising in comfort. She is decorated in a more
modern style compared to most Marlow's, though she may be easily
converted to the decor of her new owners if desired.
This is a very capable yacht with a
cruising speed of 24 knots and a fuel capacity of 3,000 U.S.
Gallons. She has 3 full staterooms with private heads and a 4th
stateroom that has a single bunk that also serves as a laundry area
with a full size washer and dryer. There is a full crew quarters
with 2 bunks, head and shower that is accessed from a separate
entrance in the cockpit. Ashdoo is in the Marlow Marine yard on
Snead Island, Florida where she is being fully detailed for the next
owner.
Ashdoo may well be the best buying
opportunity on a late model Marlow today. Considering the long lead
time for a new build, she should be high on one’s list of
desirables. |

GOOD TIME CHARLIE 1998 60' Viking
|
GOOD TIME CHARLIE is a handsome yacht combining
power, utility and elegance. A cockpit adds great versatility to any
motor yacht and, with some 70 sq. ft. of space it's big enough to
provide a good swimming and diving platform while also making the
boarding process a whole lot easier. (Note that the extra hull length
also adds a knot or so to her performance.) Like all Viking models, the
Sport Yacht is built on an easily driver modified-V hull with a solid
fiberglass bottom, side exhausts, and a shallow keel. Her
three-stateroom teak interior includes a spacious and beautifully
appointed salon wide open to the mid-level galley. The aft stateroom is
huge with excellent storage and nearby access to the standup engine
room. The sprawling aft deck (almost 200 sq. ft.) is fully enclosed and
the flybridge -- also very spacious -- is enclosed as well. A popular
model with an excellent turn of speed, twin 1,050hp MANs will cruise the
60 Sport Yacht at 26 knots (31 knots top). This is an awesome example
of Viking quality.
